Concerning “social distancing”, our intelligent God already laid down rules in His infallible Word. Notice a few truths from our text:

#1 – Those who are symptomatic with a dangerous infectious disease should physically distance themselves from society until they are no longer symptomatic (Leviticus Chapter 13).

#2 – God’s “social distancing” is only to be the sick “distanced” from the healthy. The healthy are not to be “distanced” from the healthy.

#3 – God’s “social distancing” is only for “all the days wherein the plague shall be in him”/each sick individual. “Social distancing” is not supposed to last until you cure the disease from an entire community, town, city, state, nation, or off the face of the planet.

#4 – God’s “social distancing” is actually more about quarantining the sick from the healthy instead of arbitrarily spacing/distancing healthy people 6 feet apart or only permitting a certain amount of healthy people in one building at a time. (Read “Quarantine and Church Attendance”) Man’s methods always make matters worse in multiple areas of life. We need to practice the common sense of God’s wisdom found in God’s Word.
