Our God is so incredible! He always gives such simple yet profound truths! Honestly, Jesus’ statement that is repeated in 3 of the Gospels seems more like a “duh”, obvious comment, yet to our feeble minds it isn’t.

Jesus came to save those who realize they are sinners and not those who think themselves self-righteous and self-sufficient. To get across this point, Jesus gave a basic principle. The healthy do not need doctors. Only sick people need doctors. Yet, how many of us would argue that statement? Many would contend that Jesus didn’t know what He was talking about…if it was anyone but Jesus Who said it!

Our present generation is so scared of germs and sickness. We want to impossibly sanitize the entire globe and eliminate all disease and death. We do not simply go to doctors now only when we are ill, but also when we are healthy. A regular health check is understandable, but many have gone overboard. At the same time, the world’s leaders steal mankind’s God-given freedoms in order to march both the healthy and unhealthy into predetermined factory lines of medical checkups and mandated practices. Beware dear reader, the day will come (and has in some places already arrived) when one cannot buy nor sell unless they have the mark of medical acceptance on their cell phone app or digital vaccination information in their skin even if you are healthy.

Dear reader, be diligent about your health, but also be reasonable. And of course the words of Jesus the Great Physician are the most reasonable. We need hardier spiritual stock again in Christianity. We also need believers to look first and always to all of God’s Wisdom since He and His knowledge and His power are EVERYTHING we need for medicine, for health, for life, etc….
